General Care FAQs

What services does Veritas In-Home Care provide?

We provide personalized in-home care services including personal care, companion care, respite care, memory care, nurse delegated care, and specialized support for seniors and individuals needing assistance at home.

What areas do you serve?

We proudly serve families across Greater Seattle (King County).

How do I know what type of care my loved one needs?

Our team offers a free consultation to understand your loved one's needs, routines, and goals before recommending a personalized care plan.

How quickly can care begin?

Depending on availability and care needs, services can often begin shortly after the initial consultation and assessment.

Do you offer short-term or respite care?

Yes. We offer respite care to support family caregivers during vacations, recovery periods, work travel, or times of rest.

Do you work with families after hospital discharge?

Yes. We support recovery transitions and help families create a safer, smoother return home after hospitalization or rehabilitation.

Can family members be involved in the care process?

Absolutely. We believe the best care happens through collaboration and open communication with families.

How Is In-Home Personal Care Different from Home Health Care?

Home health care is medical support provided in the home by a trained and certified health professional, such as a nurse, physical therapist, or occupational therapist. Our caregivers do not provide medical care and will not assist with tasks such as administering medication or changing wound dressings. Non-medical home care services will provide your older adult with companionship and help with activities of daily living, such as grooming, dressing, toileting, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and errands.

Caregiver & Safety FAQs

Are your caregivers trained and background checked?

Yes. All caregivers go through screening, training, and ongoing support to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.

Will we have the same caregiver consistently?

We prioritize consistency whenever possible because trust and familiarity are important for both clients and families.

How do you match caregivers with clients?

We carefully consider personality, care needs, routines, language preferences, and experience to create the right fit for each family.

Nurse Delegation FAQs

What is nurse delegated care?

Nurse delegated care allows trained caregivers to perform certain healthcare-related tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse.

What tasks can be provided under nurse delegation?

Depending on the care plan, delegated tasks may include medication assistance, insulin injections, blood sugar checks, catheter care, wound care, tube feeding support, and more.

Does Veritas have an in-house nurse?

Yes. Veritas has an in-house registered nurse who oversees delegated care, caregiver training, and ongoing supervision.

How does nurse delegation work at Veritas?

Our nurse assesses the client's needs, creates a care plan, trains the caregiver, and performs ongoing oversight and required reviews to ensure care remains safe and compliant.

Memory Care FAQs

Do you provide Dementia or Alzheimer's care?

Yes. We provide compassionate memory care support for individuals living with Alzheimer's disease, Dementia, and other cognitive conditions.

Can someone with Dementia safely remain at home?

In many cases, yes. With the right support, structure, supervision, and safety-focused care, individuals with memory loss can continue living comfortably at home.

What makes your memory care approach different?

Our approach focuses on consistency, dignity, meaningful engagement, routine, and compassionate companionship tailored to each individual.
